Perbandingan Kekerasan, Struktur Mikro, Komposisi Kimia, dan Kekuatan Tarik Rantai dan Sproket Sepeda Motor Produk Asli, OEM, dan non-OEM



Motorcycle spare parts are generally divided into three groups, namely original, OEM (original equipment manufacturer), and a non-OEM product. Motorcycle spare parts are very much, but there are some spare parts that must be replaced due to wear like a chain and sprocket. This study aimed to compare the quality of the original chain and sprocket, OEM and non-OEM. Chain and sprocket quality can be assessed and measured by hardness test, chemical composition test, microstructure test and tensile test. The results showed that the original sprocket product represented by x product has a higher hardness at the edges than in the middle. It is also found in some OEM products are represented by y3and some non-OEM represented by z1, but for the other OEM and non-OEM (y1, y2, and z2) violence between the edges and the middle relatively same. Materialof original sprocket made from low carbon steel, for the OEM made from medium carbon steel, but some non-OEM made of low carbon steel and the other are made frommedium carbon steel. Original and OEM chain relatively have same tensile strength, while for non-OEM has a lower tensile strength. Non-OEM chain tend to be more resilient than others.
